The 39th annual Sweet Land of Liberty Parade hosted by the Junior Service League of LaGrange will be held on Saturday, July 1st in Downtown LaGrange. This year's theme is "Red, White and Boots" by Grand Marshall: Anthony Talley.

 

TIME: The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Participants will assemble in the LSPA parking lot beginning at 9:00 am. Judging will begin at 9:30 am. Young people should be dropped off with their entry at the starting location. The only adults allowed in the parade line-up are registered parents or group leaders and designated parade marshals. This is for the safety of the participants.

RESTRICTIONS: All decorations must be made by the participants themselves (may have adult guidance). Only patriotic costumes or uniforms (ex. Girl or Boy Scouts). All motorized vehicles, animals, and commercial advertising are prohibited. Helmets must be worn by children riding bicycles.

 

PRIZES: Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges based on who represents the theme best through decorations and costume.

LIABILITY WAIVER: I/We, the above signed, assume all risks and hazards incidental to participation in the “Sweet Land of Liberty” parade. I/We further hereby release, absolve, indemnify, and hold harmless the Fourth of July Parade for Youth, Inc., the City of LaGrange, LaGrange Police Department, or the Junior Service League of LaGrange, parade organizers, supervisors, and all related employees, agents, or volunteers.
